What Business is Going at Taylor St/Route 28?
Introducing our new weekly feature: "You Ask...Patch Answers."
Welcome to the first edition of our new weekly feature called "You Ask...Patch Answers." The title is self-explanatory: Salem Patch readers can ask us a question and we'll get you the answer every week.
For this week, we're going to discuss a question that you may be wondering if you drive on North Broadway on a regular basis.
One of our Facebook followers sent us a message recently asking the following question: "Do you know what is going to be built on the corner of route 28 an Taylor St?"
The answer? A used car dealership, according to the Salem NH Town Projects website.
The Salem Planning Board has approved the site at 202 North Broadway for a 3,500 square-foot used car dealership.
Site plans for the space are available here.
Another note: The Salem NH Town Projects website is an excellent resource that is updated with the latest information on local business and government projects. Check it out if you haven't.
Have a question you want us to answer? Send it to salem-nh@patch.com for consideration.

The Town Planners are doing such a great job !
Maybe they will put in another used car dealership where Kentucky Fried Chicken just vacated ? RTE 1 in Norwood MA calls it's self the "AUTO MILE", they have nothing on Salem, we're going to be known as the "Auto/Dunkin Donut Town"

I did hear that a Popeyes Chicken is going where KFC was - not sure if that's true or not! How about adding a Starbucks - not enough coffee shops! Just kidding! :)

A used car lot on that corner????? Taylor street is a dangerous intersection. Hey lets take the car out for a test drive !!!! right onto Route 28. KABANG!!! Bad choice for vehicular activity like a car lot. They would have been better off with a site on south broadway. Oh well they wont have to walk far to have a cup of coffee and a donut while they wait for the wrecker to show up. This town is getting crazier and crazier.Removing all that dirt from that hill is going to be a big mistake too. But that curve and intersection is horrible now. I lost track of all the debris in the middle of route 28 from previous accidents there. Wrong place to pick.
