Town Hall to Open, Selectmen Meeting Postponed

Non-essential town personnel told to stay home during storm.

 

UPDATE, 9 a.m.: Selectmen have officially postponed tonight's Board of Selectmen meeting to Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the Knightly Meeting Room of Town Hall.

EARLIER STORY: Salem Board of Selectmen Chairman Pat Hargreaves said Town Hall will be open during today's arrival of Hurricane Sandy, but that non-essential town personnel were told they did not need to come in.

Hargreaves also said tonight's Board of Selectmen meeting has been postponed. He was hopeful the board could re-schedule tonight's meeting for Thursday, but that has not yet been made official.
