Snow Causes 40-Mile Backup on I-93

The Exit 4 off-ramp in Londonderry is closed due to the slippery road conditions.

WCVB-TV in Boston is reporting that there was a 40-mile backup on I-93 from Derry to Boston this morning as a result of the poor road conditions.

The speed limit on the highway has been reduced to 45 miles per hour, but traffic is barely inching along at this hour.

The Eagle-Tribune's John Toole tweeted that spinouts at the Exit 4 ramp in Londonderry off I-93 are causing traffic to back up on the highway. The New Hampshire Department of Transportation also just tweeted that the Exit 4 off-ramp is closed at this time.
