A "Yes" on the warrant to repair Pond St is vital, as anyone who travels this stretch of Salem knows very well, since there have been no significant repairs in over 20 years. It would be a shame if the warrant doesn't pass because voters haven't turned out. Voting is a privilege, one that many people around the world wish they had, yet few Salem voters turn out for non-presidential elections and deliberative sessions leaving the power in the hands of a few. We can and should do better.

I think the most important issue in this election cycle is voter turnout. The town comes out for the trash, so let's see the interest in schools and a casino. If less than 50 percent of the eligible voters come out, this is a reflection of the number of under informed and the numbers that have given up on our system. We'll need to put trash on every ballot in the future.

NOTHING IS FREE! we need to spend to start bringing this town forward!

Hargreaves has done nothing for Salem except run a lousy parade! Welch is a retired miserable firefighter who got shoved out the door because the guys he worked with hated him. DeClerq is Belanger's puppet and can't be trusted. All you cheap senior pricks need to go out into your backyards and dig up the coffee can's full of cash and start paying for the NOW generation. You got your's, your kids did and now it's my kids turn!

Rilley Reid has a foul mouth. Tell you what. If your kids turn out like you, I do not want to spend a dime on them. Why don't you just move out of Town.

The Casino better open in Salem or we have a problem.

Seniors pay enough to run this town. If all that money is not distributed equitably it is not their fault.

It's the Salem Seniors who have be so selfish that they have run this town into the ground!. Most of them are in Florida right now, so hopefully they had a senior moment and forgot to cast their absentee ballots

Stop begging for more of everybody's money. We will not give it to you. You will just waste it on idiotic projcets.

Sorry Riley, reality is that there is no coffee can in the back yard. Higher and higher taxes and no raises on the job for last 7 years have taken care of that. You must have a great job and good income but the truth is that's no the way it is any more with most folks. You really are and ass.

Higher and higher taxes,,,whine, whine, whine.. It's losers like you Dennis who are keeping Salem in the dark ages. Cut down on the Budweisers at the Elks and you'll be able to afford the few dollars your taxes will go up. And as far as your name calling goes, why don't you call your good buddy Steve and the two of you take a course in civility.

Please let's try to be civil today. What we all need to be concentrating on is getting out the vote so we have a clear picture of what the residents want. Whether or for against or for the school town warrants/budgets we should be respectful towards one another. So get out there and vote and don't forget I'm a write-in candidate for ZBA so please vote for me by writing Jeff Hatch On the write-in line and filling in the bubble in the ZBA section of the ballot.
