Rockingham Jury Convicts Minassian

Salem man found guilty of criminal threatening and reckless conduct.

The Union Leader reports Larry Minassian, 53, of Salem, was convicted of criminal threatening and reckless conduct by a Rockingham County Superior Court Wednesday following a two-day trial.

The charges stemmed from a Jan. 6, 2011 incident when he was shot by police after charging at them with a large sword. Minassian lost a leg after sustaining injuries from the shooting, according to the Union Leader. The judge in the case allowed Minassian to remain free on bail pending sentencing, the paper reported.
