Wow, the ultimate tempest in a tea pot.
It is common practice on twitter that retweets do not equal agreement or endorsement. It is commom practice that people retweet items they do not agree with, from people they often or always disagree with.
Explain to me again how the Republican party in NH is changing its tune?

What upset me most about this article was reading the name David Wheeler, and then I realized that it was not the David Wheeler that I am used to reading about.
Then I was left with only nagging discontent that Jennifer Horn would go out of her way to turn this into news, which appears to have been a success... but given her adversarial writing style as a Patch contributor, it doesn't surprise me. I agree with Keith that retweets don't equal agreement. Even if he found the humor of Miss Varrow relatable, can you blame him? Scallia was being a bonehead, and Dick Cheney accidentally shot a man in the face, the guy made it out of the whole thing ok, and the event has been the butt of jokes since.
Maybe if the focus of the republican party was the value of their platform, and not a whisper or shouting campaign to paint the democrats as people that you just don't want to like, then they might have built on their success in 2010... but then again the success of 2010 was the result of this kind of tripe being fed to an impatient electorate.

Let's throw another name from the Big Mouth GOP: Martin Hardy (R), of Strafford County who wanted to send Mentally Ill people to Siberia, as part of his beliefs on eugenics.
Yet, Bully O'Brien was there to say "He's 91 years of age, so he has the right to say that."
Funny how when the GOP does it, they don't like all the coverage in the media, but yet.....when the Democrats do it, they can't get over themselves.
Besides, if Antonin Scalia, the GOP Darling of the Supreme Court cannot, and wishes not to follow the U.S. Constitution, with control of the U.S. Senate, the Democrats can, and should call for impeachment.
Somehow when the GOP chair cannot pay her federal income taxes, and condones a Supreme Court Justice flouting the U.S. Constitution, anything Horrigan said (albeit stupid), shows this as more smoke and mirrors by the GOP in New Hampshire.

Also if I may, this is what you get with a volunteer legislature. I am not condoning Mr. Horrigan's remarks anymore than I am condoning Antonin Scalia. Old legislators who cannot do the business of the State, and make dumb remarks.

Dan, the only problem is that the "remarks" we're from another party, and all Horrigan did was forward it on... that is what a retweet is, just passing on what another says because you find it funny or shocking or clever.
This would be like me repeating something you wrote here... even giving your name as the one who said it... retweeting is not the same as saying something yourself.

Chairman Horns letter and implied indignation are laughable. It's business as usual then for the new chair person. One would think she would have wanted to set off in a new and better direction, and concentrate on real issues.

Yes folks, the constitution is dead, it is only what it says, except when neoconservatives tell you that the Second Amendment was written so that people could have guns to use against their own government, because our government is big and bad and out to harm us. (Except it doesn't actually say that.)
So remember, you can NOT "interpret" the constitution to suit your ideas regarding what you think it covers, for example, free choice or gay rights, unless of course, you are a neoconservative (i.e. fake conservative) interpreting what you think the second amendment means, even though it doesn't actually say what you think it means.

The Constitution was predicated on the Declaration of Independence, in fact the Declaration of Independence was the justification for the very existence of the Constitution.
Please explain the meaning of the following excerpts of the Declaration of Independence...
"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."
Remember these truths are held to be self evident and thus are outside and above the scope of the Constitution; hence the 2nd amendment that ensures that the government not be able to remove the tools to exercise these self evident rights.

More feigned outrage from the phony NH conservatives, as Horrigan actually retweeted someone else's tweet. Horrigan didn't actually say those words.
But the lead dogs are sniffing for something, anything because the neocons actually can't govern, they instead do what they do best, which is make a mountain out of a molehill
Joking about Cheney's hunting mishap, shooting his fellow hunter in the face is hilarious when viewed on Jay Leno or any other late night show, but if a Dem retweets someone eles'e bad joke, it's an outrage.
