Pedestrian Struck on I-93 Near Exit 2
A 25-year-old woman was struck near Windham town line last night.
A 25-year-old woman has been identified by state police as the pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Interstate 93 last night.
According to police, Manchester resident Jessica Kimball was with her 2008 Subaru stopped in the breakdown lane at the time of the incident.
Just after 8:30 p.m., Kimball had exited her vehicle and was in the road when she was struck by a 2006 Saab, which was driven by Gayle Baker, 49, of Windham.
Kimball was transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the incident.
Officers from State Police Troop B and the State Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Team investigated the accident for about three hours, causing northbound lanes to be restricted. The highway was cleared and re-opened by 11:30 p.m.
