One Injured in I-93 South Crash

Non-life threatening injuries sustained in the accident on highway.

The driver of a Cadillac sedan was transported to Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass., following a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 93 South Friday evening.

Salem Fire Capt. John Brackett said the accident took place at mile marker 0.6 in Salem on I-93 South and units were dispatched at 6:16 p.m.

Brackett said the vehicle carrying four people hit a jersey barrier on the left side of the road, skidded back across the highway, went off the road and came to rest on the bottom of the embankment.

The male driver of the car was transported to the hospital with what Brackett described as non-life threatening injuries.

The other three occupants did not require hospital transport, Brackett said.

Reports indicated the scene was turned over to the N.H. State Police after fire units cleared.
