Men Charged After Diaper, Beer Theft

One of them allegedly lied about his identity to police after incident at Walmart.

Salem Police said they arrested two men from Lawrence, Mass., Tuesday after they allegedly stole beer, diapers and baby formula from Walmart.

Police said they charged Shaun Klier, 29, with theft and arrested him on an outstanding Rockingham County warrant, while John Murphy, 46, was charged with theft, resisting arrest and false reports to law enforcement.

Police responded to Walmart Tuesday at approximately 7:30 a.m. for report of two males who had stolen four cases of beer, two cases of diapers and a case of baby formula and were attempting to flee the parking lot in a taxi.
