McDougall Arraignment Continued

Salem elected official will have a probable cause hearing scheduled.

Salem Budget Committee and Zoning Board of Adjustment member Patrick McDougall had his arraignment stemming from his Aug. 31 arrest continued by the 10th Circuit Court of Salem Monday.

According to Salem Police prosecutor Jason Grosky, McDougall's case is being continued for a probable cause hearing on the three felony witness tampering charges against him as a result of that arrest.

Probable cause hearings are typically scheduled within a couple weeks of an arraignment date.

McDougall faces a motion hearing on the charge of obstructing government administration against him Oct. 6.

If only it was embarrassment we had to deal with. Looks like his bad behavior and his refusal to own up to it will cost us taxpayers a ton of money. Even if he hires his own counsel, we're on the hook for all the other expenses needed to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he has an anger issue. Thank you so much for looking out for the people of Salem. Now I have to pay for your childish actions, wonderful!

As Patrick is fond of saying on TV; "Just trying to save the taxpayer a little money". Except when benefits him.
