Governor Lynch Disappointed in I-93 Progress

Lynch cites I-93 expansion from Salem to Manchester as key economic project for NH.

Governor John Lynch, with days left in his eight-year administration, says he was hoping to have made more progress in the widening of Interstate 93 from Salem to Manchester.

Lynch, appearing on NHPR's The Exchange, cited the I-93 project when asked by host Laura Knoy about his biggest disappointments. He began by noting progress in infrastructure projects statewide, including the widening of the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16). And then he brought up I-93.

"There's still a shortfall of $250 million," Lynch said.

This is sorta what happens when one bobs and weaves and ducks discussion of any new revenue to actually PAY for new infrastructure - highways, schools, water, sewer, bridges, and so forth. Ya didn't see this day coming?
