A former Salem resident and Boston College alumnus will take the hill in Fort Myers on Thursday to face off against his former school, according to the Boston Herald.
Terry Doyle, 27, is a native of Concord, Mass. but grew up in the Granite State. He was selected in the 37th round of the 2008 amateur draft.
He has never pitched a regular season game in the major leagues, bouncing around various minor league organizations since being drafted by the Chicago White Sox in 2008.
The split-squad game is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. and will immediately follow a 1:35 p.m. clash with Northeastern. The two contests traditionally kick off the Spring Training schedule.
