1. TODAY'S FORECAST: A wintry mix and a high of 44 today is expected to turn to rain. Tonight will see showers early with a low of 27.

2. SELECTMEN TONIGHT: The board will meet at Salem Town Hall at 7 p.m. The meeting will include the acceptance of a Senior Center donation, a second public hearing on the town's proposed pawn brokers ordinance and a continued discussion on a copier replacement.

3. KINDERGARTEN/GRADE 1 REGISTRATION: The Salem School District has provided information for parents related to both kindergarten and grade 1 registration. To learn more, visit here.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: Nelson Mandela, leader of the movement to end South African apartheid, is released from prison after 27 years on February 11, 1990.

5. THE GOVERNOR'S BUDGET ADDRESS: A reminder that this Thursday at 10 a.m. Gov. Maggie Hassan will reveal her budget before the House and Senate in Concord.
