1. TODAY'S FORECAST:Hard for the weather to be much colder than yesterday, and the temperatures will warm a bit this afternoon in Salem with a high of 37. Tonight will be clear with a low of 27.

2. NEW LEADERSHIP IN WASHINGTON: Yesterday saw the swearing in of New Hampshire's new all-female leadership team. Read here about Gov. Maggie Hassan's inauguration. Congresswomen Carol Shea-Porter and Ann McLane Kuster were also sworn in.

3. HUNTING & FISHING EXPO: A reminder that this will take place at Rockingham Park this Saturday and Sunday. Both days will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sunday. Learn more here.

4. THIS DAY IN HISTORY: On this day in 1999, for the first time since Charlemagne's reign in the ninth century, Europe is united with a common currency when the "euro" debuts as a financial unit in corporate and investment markets.

5. BOEHNER RETAINS HOUSE SPEAKER SPOT: Although he was not challenged for the position, a vote took place yesterday and House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) retained his spot.
