Those seeking school office this year will see several positions opening up as the filing period fast approached.

According to Superintendent of Schools Michael W. Delaney, filing dates will run from Jan. 23 to Feb. 1.

Two positions of three years each on the school board are vacant this year. Incumbent school board members Patricia M. Corbett and Peter A. Morgan will see their terms expire.

Three elected official positions will also open up. Mark Pearson, School District Moderator, Kelly Bryant, School District Clerk and Linda D. Cornwell, School District Treasurer all have expiring positions.

School positions are voted on by ballot at the same time as town elections in March.

Applications for an absentee ballot may be obtained from the Town Clerk's office at the Town Office, 33 Geremonty Drive.
