Bettencourt Endorses Lamontagne

It did not take long for Ovide Lamontagne to get a huge boost from Salem for his gubernatorial campaign.

, N.H. House Majority Leader D.J. Bettencourt (R-Salem) declared his support for Lamontagne in the upcoming race.

"I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Ovide Lamontagne for the past several years and watching him up close," Bettencourt said in a statement Monday afternoon. "In that time I’ve come to know his leadership style very well and there is no question that he should be our next Governor."

Bettencourt said Ovide, who is often referred to by his first name in public, is "a dynamic and charismatic leader who will bring energy and conservatism back to the corner office, especially at this time when New Hampshire needs it most."

Bettencourt praised Lamontagne's "unique ability to work with many different kinds of people," a trait Bettencourt feels is necessary for success as governor.

"Ovide is a leader who will make New Hampshire proud," Bettencourt said.
