Baby Suffers Head Injury at Walmart

Editor's note: The following entries are excerpts from logs submitted by Salem Police.

APRIL 12, 2013

11:45 a.m. Caller at Pools & Spas by Bemister's on 57 S. Broadway St. reporting they had a female subject inside the store take a set of darts that were in a black case. She left the lot in a 2-toned color Ford Taurus north on Route 28.

Officers advised that the caller doesn't know if the woman in the vehicle actually took anything. Officers stopped and stopped and searched the vehicle but found nothing. 

7:02 p.m. Alyssa Marie Errico, 17, of 13 Magnolia Lane in Derry, N.H. is arrested at Macy's on 1 Mall Road and charged with willful concealment – theft.

Ashley Nicole Fortin, 18, of 24 Pingree Hill Road in Derry, N.H. is arrested at Macy's on 1 Mall Road and charged with willful concealment – theft. Both females bailed at $500 personal recognizance.

APRIL 13, 2013

3:40 p.m. Richard Ortiz, 32, of 23 Lake St. Apt. 4 in Nashua, N.H. is arrested at Salem Crossing Condo on 99 Cluff Crossing Road and charged with criminal mischief (vandalism) and a bench warrant. Caller reports her ex-boyfriend kicked in her bedroom door and caused damage. Ortiz is now outside the building waiting for a ride. Bailed at $5,000 personal recognizance.

APRIL 14, 2013

2:06 p.m. 3-month-old is transported to the hospital at Walmart on 314 N. Broadway St. The baby fell out of the back of the seat of a black Acura and sustained a head injury.

5:48 p.m. William Luther Venable, 52, of 41 School St. in Salem, N.H. is arrested on 41 School St. and charged with simple assault. Caller reporting an altercation between her 22-year-old son and her intoxicated 52-year-old boyfriend. No weapons. Venable bailed at $500 personal recognizance.

APRIL 15, 2013

1:02 p.m. William Serrano, 35, of 7 Lancelot Court Apt. 19 in Salem, N.H. is arrested on 7 Lancelot Court Apt. 19 and charged with simple assault (domestic violence). Caller reporting that she was on the phone with her daughter who reported that her boyfriend was hitting her and she needed the police.
